Sartopore® 2 Capsules
Description
Sartopore® 2 Capsules are ready-to-use, individually sterilely packaged capsules for the filtration of small and medium volumes. They feature a hydrophilic, two-layer polyethersulfone membrane with exceptionally high flow rates and lifetimes, broad chemical compatibility, and extremely low extractables. The Sartopore® 2 Capsules are constructed from the same materials and follow the same design principle as all other Sartopore 2 filter elements, making them ideally suited for scale-up and scale-down experiments.

Compatibility
The Sartopore® 2 Capsules polyethersulfone membrane provides broad chemical compatibility of pH 1 to pH 14 with low levels of extractables. Sartopore® 2 Capsules meet the requirements of the WFI quality standards established in the current USP, including the toxicity tests according to the USP plastic Class VI test and extractable material.
Performance
A unique pleated filter construction combined with the highly asymmetrical pore structure of the membrane enables excellent flow rates and lifetimes, particularly compared to conventional flat filter systems. By means of "integrated prefiltration" in the form of a 0.45 μm membrane, the Sartopore® 2 gamma capsules achieve outstanding total flow and excellent flow rates.
